H&M inspired by Coachella

Coachella.com Available May 20, 2010,this will be H&M's first ever music festival-inspired collection ever, check it out in the Divided department and keep in mind 25% of sales proceeds will be donated to youth HIV/AIDS awareness projects. Sweat it out

All I've gotta say, is that we've definetly come a loooonnng way in fashion when you see sweatpants and most importantly Polyester are showing up on the runways of some of THE most famous design houses on the planet!
While I'm sure not everyones idea of being fashionable includes pairing sweatpants & a blazer but it's all about being comfortable in your own skin & seeming effortlessly put together.

The key to pulling off Trendy Sweats:

1) It's gotta be the right sweatpants: Draw string or banded/elasticated at the waist. I prefer elasticated hem as well- as the sweatpants will hang better and can be rolled properly.

2) Avoid looking like a slob in sweats, by adding a 'structured' shirt/blazer/vest,it'll add a more chic and polished feel. What you pair with it is the dealbreaker as there's a fine line between sloppy/bummy and comfy casual.

3) Depends on your style and where you're going, you can complete your look with some Jays ( a la Amber Rose, see below) or with a great pair of stacked wedges, round toe pumps etc..

Damn son...where'd you get that?

We first saw this shirt in early February when Kanye West wore it to the studio recording of 'We are the World' and since then the buzz has been non-stop for the Riccardo Tisci for Givenchy shirt.
Riccardo has definetly put a 2010 twist on your basic Tartan Plaid shirt.

I think, this shirt is craaazy and the real thing is probably an arm and a leg.
So if you guys are dying for an inspired piece, don't wait for your favourite retailer to bootleg it.(*coughs @ Forever21).

Get creative:With a gentle used Tartan Plaid shirt from your local thrift store & a bag of studs & spikes ( i don't gotta tell you guys the rest)...

IF you frequent The Sartorialist or other streetstyle blogs you may recognize this cute lil fashionista. Her name is Miroslava Mikheeva-Duma, she's a married 24 year-old Russian 'it Girl' and Fashion Editor for Harper's Bazaar Russia. She's a great style icon because she mixes classic,streetchic and pulls it of effortlessly. I've read that at the age of 24 she has a collection of the coveted Hermes Berkin bags! It's 2010, and as we all know ANYTHING GOES.
What was once old is now new and hip, and what's old can be remixed, studded, embellished, and made into a cute new outfit.

Forget all the fashion rules & everything you thought you knew about DENIM : ALWAYS keeping in mind, what looks good on you & your body type.
Ripped, distressed, wash and worn : although we've seen them in store and on runways for the past couple of years...DENIM'S presence on the runways this season can't be denied. Ripped, Distressed, Worn and Torn, Acid, Tie-Dye Denim are definetly here to stay!

And Double Denim which was once considered a crime against Fashion, is one of the biggest fashion DO's of the season.

(just needs the right amount of confidence to pull it off and i mean that in the sweetest way possible cause all the confidence in the world couldn't help these two below)

This past weekend, i actually found a lightly used Levis' Denim Boyfriend shirt at VV Boutique! (*coughs Value Village lol) for $6.99!
The same goes for buying torn denim, if not into buying a pair of $100+ ripped jeans, find your nearest Value Village/Goodwill/Talize or local consignment store and get creative!
