i saw it, i thought i was good, cool to see a very top line story of what happened - and a theater full of white kids from oakville lol... no it was good, but i would have liked to see more of where his inspiration came from.. but i mean diddy produced it so he could only really tell the story from when he knew big and what 'happened'. it was enjoyable nonetheless. go!
entertaining? yes. oscar material? no. Naturi did a great job of playing lil' kim and the puffy character was on point. if you're big on quality and hoping for it to be a moving, WOW experience, go to ovguide.com and peep it there
I saw it and of course seeing a movie in the theaters gives you the full feeling but it was good as hell it had me and my sister in tears. I think u should see it in the theaters.
I saw it Andy on opening night & blogged about it. I liked it a lot. The only thjing that I didnt like about it was the way Lil' Kim was portrayed as a straight groupie, I see as to why she didnt agree with her character. Other than that its a 2hours and 2 mins well spent!
It was pretty funny, especially at some moments where the movie was taking itself too seriously. If you're a rap geek you'll notice that they got a lot of stuff wrong but whatever. It's a movie and I guess cats don't want to get bogged down with all the real details about biggie's life.
Basically, I've seen worse movies if that's worth anything. As a quick side note, dude impersonated Diddy's dancin' too well haha.
mad cliché/predictable scenarios. ie. him rapping with the red and black lumberjack with the hat to match. smfh.
terribly shot and casted - pac looks more like Charlie Murphy to me and couldn't nail the feel of him at all - which is super distinct, (no bromance), and Lil Cease is literally played by a 17 year old.
They make a Hollywood whore of the poor unsuccessful mess of a girl from 3LW that plays Kim by getting her tatas out as much as possible, but she does a pretty good job at playing her role.. as does Angela Bassett.
Oh, did I mention that the wife and I turned it off after the red hat incident? Yeah... it's literally that embarrassing.. especially if you've got respect for dope movies well made. I skipped through it today a little to give it another chance but really, really wasn't impressed.
See Slumdog like we spoke about homey... seriously. If you got a PS3, I gotchu on both films.. just lemme know.
Bootleg it. I wouldn't say it was a bad movie but it wasn't anything special about it either. If you've seen documentaries then you pretty much know how the whole movie pans out. No need to waste your money.
co-siggy on the inaccuracies that the rap geeks would spot out (and whisper about in the theater may i add), it was a lot better than i thought it would be. side note, there were some YOUNG white g's in the theater that i was in CRYING... like for real CRYING... they musta been like 6 when BIG died lol... I'M JUST SAYING! lol
i heavily co-sign with whomever notorious b.e. is. bootleg it and check out slumdog millionaire. inaccurate, poorly written, corny and can someone please explain to me why angela basset's jamaican accent slipped in and out like whoa??
i was kinda mad...... the only thing i thought was amazing about the movie is how much naturi (3lw chick) sounds and acts like Kim, however yeah her tits were out too much.
I aint watch the whole thing i got up because people were rapping to his songs and shit so if you do go go on a weekday in a white neighborhood where they either: A - Dont know the words B - Dont care to see the movie
i just watched it on movie6.net on Zshare (megavideo has a time limit)
it was an ok movie...i think they got the gist of it. the characters really didnt look like them but naturi did a gd job as kim.i dont think they made her look like a groupie at all.
I'm so torn as whether I want to see the movie or not. I'm a HUGE B.I.G fan and I really don't want the movie to change my perception of who he is in my eyes...
Damn..Thanks for all the feedback... an Hell yeah i saw Slumdog Millionaire… had me doing the bollywood dance in the theater... To be honest even after reading the feedback i have no desire to see “notorious” but next time I go to grab bootlegs i'll most likely pick it up... one movie I will be watching when it comes out this Friday is "Taken" you guys need to get down with this shit ri here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CvUxdQ4q-Lg
