You don't need to get a phone. You need a phone that gets you...
a friend of mine from HTC sent me a press kit for their new TV Campaign...if you've never heard of HTC dont' worry you'll start to see them a lot more over the next few months.. they are undergoing a complete brand revitalization in attemps of making HTC a house hold name.. Not only will the brand get a complete make-over but they a bunch of new android phones (google phones) on the market.
check out these awesome adds - let me know what you think...
andy, quietly brilliant..
First and Foremost: Missed ur blogs Andy, you been awol lol
But HTC phones are the ish, they have one for T-Mobile called MyTouch and my friend has it and its pretty dope, on a level like an iPhone. I thought about getting one but Im too attached to my BB =(
Yeaa I’ve been busy working on a bunch of projects… not much free time to blog..
I decided after I wrote that post that i'll make the switch to the HTC Hero -- i'v been using a blackberry for long enough & the love hate issue I have with blackberrry is its always good but never great -- Iv been using a blackberry for quite some time and yes the screen resolution gets better and yes cosmetically it looks/feels better but at the end of the day it the same operating system with a few new pieces here and there – I dont' see blackberry making any attempt to change things and make their products great..
These Google phones are great.. Google would never put their name behind a product that wasn’t industry leading.. and the thing about google that’s refreshing is they continually work on making things better and improving the experience for the end user.
I’v made up my mind RIP BBM it was fun while it lasted.
let me guess it was running windows mobile .. Windows mobile has it’s downfalls because it trying to be a computer- but doesn’t have the processor speed or memory to support all the different things it wants to do at once so it freezes…
The google phones that HTC offers are all stable – they can run a ton of different application at once without any problem.. (it’s actually amazing)
You should try and back up all your contacts so you don’t’ lose them again … (it’s super simple use the CD that came in your blackberry box it will walk you through how to do it)
HTC - I've heard of them before but yeah I can see they are going for a whole different angle. It's smart. I like the ads but it doesn't "bring out" the distinct features of it as in it's not as clear as the iPhone (I see that the phone can call, record video, you can text and you can use a map application). IMO, the ad makes it look just like a Samsung Tocco (A CRAP phone, BTW) and I don't think that's the truth I do think HTC is good after what you said Andy but the ads don't convince or tell me that..
Do you guys think that BB will ever have like direct competition in terms of BBM? < because I really think that's the main reason everyone uses it. All the other features can be found on other phones...
Both ads are very well scripted. 10/10 on the ad campaign and the team that worked on it... But until HTC tends to its many software issues, I will not be seen carrying one.
BBM is a sometimes clutch and a sometimes annoying feature that is linked to BBs... but the ingenious thing about RIM is that they keep things as simple as possible and yet are able to stay current at the same time. Simplicity wins 9times out of 10. This is why I was extremely disappointed with the launch of the new BBM.
Also, making a phone with so many additional features cannot be good on the battery life at all either.
Andy you're right about the BB , no matter how the design changesn the operating system is the same which makes me hate my BB but love it. I have had probs wit my BB freezing all the time and very slow running apps. I agree with Natalie! it would be interesting to see BB have direct competiton bc what makes the BB stand out is the BBM! That's y I am so attached.
