for real. people have been cracking jokes about this and how it was prob her fault but when you see something LIKE THIS - domestic violence is a problem !!
it bothers me how, if this were 2 people and it was just domestic violence in Toronto or in some neighbourhood, nobody would really give a shit, because the reality is that it happens everrrryday, but just b/c theyre in the public eye, the situation is expanded to bountiful amounts , its sad that this has to be an eye opener for most people.
People are paying attention now just because this situation happened with celebrities. I work as a Crisis Counselor at an abused women's shelter, there is absolutely nothing funny about any of this shit. Open your eyes people, this occurs more often than you think. I take intakes EVERYDAY with women who are fleeing abuse, and it's saddder then sad!
According to some Atlanta radio personalities the two of them are still together. It's just hear say but I think this whole thing is outta control. No one but the people involved really and truly know what transpired and why they did. Everyone is always so quit to point fingers....suppose later on we find out she pulled a gun on him or something like that and he was only defending himself?? People are gonna feel mad crunchy if that was the case. All I'm saying is people need to stop being so quick to judge.
i understand your perspective 'definition' but it's hard to look at it that way when you see what he did to her face, regardless of the circumstances leading up to the altercation
wow. been there, done with that. there's nothing like a pic of you at your worst on the internet to snap shit into perspective. like really. she looks like she's dead. sad sad sad sad... but, she'll make a good record about it im sure, unlike the hundreds of thousands of women that get battered daily around the world. him, i think it's safe to say we won't be hearing from him for awhile, at least not until after the court dates huh.
i wrote that before i read any comments, um, if she had done anything to harm him, he should by all means have subdued her, that my friend is full out pummeling. as much of a bugger as the media is, this kinda thing will help younger girls see that no one is immune to this kind of thing, if it can happen to her, it can happen to you kinda thing. some people don't come from abusive homes and end up with an abusive man, i don't think putting her pictures out like that is fair though. but since when does TMZ play fair?
What makes this photo more believable than the others? Oh, because its from TMZ? I don't know what she really looked like then or what she looks like now unless I see her in person. I'm a graphic designer and I know what can be done with image editing programs. What if the shoe were on the other foot, and she beat Chris up like that, would everyone care as much or be so boisterous with their opinons? Domestic violence exists for men too, I know a few.
In situations like this, in my opinion, where it isn't personal its best to remain neutral and be mindful of the things you say because they can affect the opinions of others [i.e. the rumors like she gave him herpes so she deserved it].
hey hey hey i got the last post on my phone and i had to come on here to let you guys know that to each his own opinion about this whole situation one thing we all agree on is THAT IT'S FUCKED UP no one should be beat up like that by a man, none of you would wish that on your worst enemy, just because people are picking side due to the fact that there is no solid evidence and we truly do not know what happened that night between those two does not mean we should be calling ppl idiots or what not. everyone is entitled to their own opinion all i know is if i run into his ass ima box him out.
Thank you Nebby for respecting my opinion on the whole issue. Just trying to remain neutral over here, but I guess somehow that came across as idiocy. Hmmm, I guess.
I'm not sure about this but over here (London) and I'm pretty sure in any Western society, domestic violence is a pretty big fucking deal. I don't think that because it's their celebs that people care I mean yeah they are surprised you know all that role model stuff, but a lot of domestic violence disputes aren't reported out of fear and embarrassment. If this had happened to any other person I still think people would care, just that they wouldn't speak on it as much. Society today loves to speak about celebs like they are the enemy...
Charities like DVIP show that people care.
It's sad to see that though and just like The Def. I am reserving judgment although I will say this whoever started is wrong and whoever let it get to that is wrong...
I understand what The Def is saying and I agree, we don't know what happened that night. I do however, believe that the picture on TMZ is real. I've seen doctored pictures and they always look...well...doctored. But again, you're right Def...we don't know what happened, but she got pummeled and he might serve time for it. Pretty messed up all the way around.
As a woman who as a young girl watched her father beat her mother up, I will say that the picture inspired a very visceral reaction in me. But I think that was TMZ's mission. As far as the media is concerned, this is less about domestic and more about increasing readership/viewership. And that's a damn shame.

[This isn't in reference to CB and Rihanna]

good on you neb.
FYI - That photo is definitely REAL. The LAPD is doing an investigation on who leaked it to TMZ, so that should quiet that noise.
And this whole situation is effed up - down to the jerkoff who sold the photo to TMZ.
this pic is hilarious!!
