This is something we’ve been working on for a really long time. Ive always wanted to learn how to use the audio software on my computer in different ways and this has been such an great learning experience for me, so I’m really excited to share this with my blog friends!
My good friend Nebby thought it would be a great idea to start a talk radio show which in turn evolved into recording real conversations between friends. It has probably been the most honest, open and vulnerable thing I’ve ever did in a while, but I can see how this can turn into something very therapeutic not just for the people leading the conversation but for those listening too. In this episode, nebby discusses with Lissa (me!) the stresses of competition between women and invites a special guest with a message for all the ladies.

First, Firsts - Go Rangers

When given the option I like to kill a few hours on Sunday morning digging through my closet trying to clean up an sort things out before the rigours of another work week.-- Stumbled on a personal artifact this morning that took me back to an era when I had a lot more free time and a lot less responsibility -- To remind me of home (after moving from T.X to T.O) this was one of the first things I bought in Canada. At the time it was too big for me. (I couldn't even wear it) It ended up being one of the many "you'll grow into it" pieces I owned growing up... I grew into it, grew out of it, lost it (but never lost love for it), and now that the Texas Rangers are in their first World Series I'm glad I found it.. -Go Rangers.

"Make a dream become a Reality"

A friend of mine flipped me this video on facebook a few weeks ago..i've watched it daily (at this point i can recite the speech verbatim) I searched online but couldn't find much background on who this guy is or what the "Advantage" program is so i don't have much context to share... but it's clearly a motivational speech an although the audience in video are youth the message is valid across all age groups... simply put its a great reminder of the work/sacrifices it takes to be successful (...cue the drake track here)... anyway it really resonates with me an hopefully you enjoy his delivery..

pepsi helps you help yourself (& your community)

In the last 3 months a ton of big brands have stepped up to the social media plate but none more so then Pepsi. In todays constantly connected society the battle of the beverage brands wont be won or lost with TV and Radio ads but with social media. The standard twitter account or facebook fan page to increase brand impressions or keep your brand top of mind has quickly become "passé" and has made way for new creative social media campaigns like The Pepsi Refresh Project. A straight forward campaign where Pepsi foots the bill for your brilliant ideas to help "refresh" your community. How you get paid?: Upload your idea & project profile to refresheverything.com, then gather as many votes as you can by promoting your project within your online community. Ideas/projects with the most votes at the end of every month receive "refresh grants" to fund their project (grants range from 5k - 250k) You might wonder what Pepsi gets out of all of this? A: Your attention + thousands of positive brand impressions daily.. which is gold for any big brand that does business in a competitive industry like food & beverage.. A big pat on the back to Pepsi for this one.. -Andy

Either you're slingin' crack, rock or you got a wicked jump shot

over the past few weeks I've been spending the majority of my afternoons working on my game- we've finally got some decent weather so it's nice to get out an put in some serious work - whenever i get the opportunity i like to get photo's of my jumper so i can try an fix any kinks or bad habits i got going on. (also allows me to check on my form an shot consistency) lately im having problems getting lift from my legs when I get tired -basically as the workout continues and i become tired im not jumping as high... this can definitely be attributed to my lack of conditioning - ... it's a work in progress.. anyway here's a few shots* (pun intended) from my most recent outdoor work out
andy, im always looking for good runs - if you know of any hit me up lemme know...

=)

I have been getting messages on facebook/myspace about our blog and how much people enjoy reading it. It might not be a big deal to other people with blogs when they receive messages like that but it made me so =) Its amazing when you can just go on and go on about whatever it is you wanna type about and certain people actually take the time reading about it and come back to read about some more shit. ahhh it's great, just wanted to share that! Thanks for the Love & Support xoxo!

Mrs. Beckham

“If I go to the supermarket looking like shit, that affects my work. I am selling an image. Plus, I have fun with it.”- Victoria Beckham . Here's a video from the shoot that Mrs. Beckham did for Harper’s Bazaar cover, this time January 2009 issue.
